visionOS · Spatial

visionOS app development for Vision Pro.

Spatial computing rewards products that earn the headset. We build the ones with a reason to exist there, and say so when there isn't one.

01Scope

What visionOS app development covers.

Three presentation modes, and picking the right one is most of the design work.

Windows
SwiftUI windows in the Shared Space. The fastest route onto the platform, and where an existing iPad app often starts.
Volumes
Bounded 3D content viewable from any angle — product visualisation, data models, spatial tools.
Immersive spaces
Full or mixed immersion with RealityKit and ARKit: hand tracking, scene understanding and anchored content.

02Reality check

When visionOS is worth the budget.

The install base is small. The cases where that does not matter are specific.

Training, simulation and field work
Enterprise scenarios where one headset replaces a room of equipment, and per-seat cost is irrelevant.
Spatial-native products
Anything where three dimensions are the product rather than a presentation choice — design review, medical imaging, 3D authoring.
Early platform positioning
Being credible on the platform before it is crowded. A defensible reason, provided you are honest that it is the reason.

03FAQ

visionOS app development: common questions.

Can our existing iPad app run on Vision Pro?

Compatible iPad apps run on visionOS in a window without changes, which is a reasonable place to start. A visionOS-native build is a separate scope, and worth it only when the product uses depth, space or hand input for something real.

Is it too early to build for Vision Pro?

For a consumer product chasing volume, usually yes. For enterprise and training tools where a small number of headsets replace expensive alternatives, the maths already works. We will tell you which one you are.

What does a visionOS project cost?

A windowed visionOS app sits in the MVP sprint range of $15k–$40k. Volumes and immersive spaces with RealityKit content sit in the full-build range, because 3D asset work and spatial interaction design are their own effort.
